                                                         Essay about Childhood
I’m about to lose my childhood. Childhood is getting mad considering the fact that I’m a grown up now. It doesn’t seem to realize that all kids lose childhood at one point but it always comes back.   As always there will be at least one point when you are a grown up and you act like a little kid just like you did in your childhood. No matter how hard I try to calm it down it still brings me to play like I’m a ten year old kid. I know that it will miss me but I’m just going to have to let it go. The thing that childhood is happy about is that it knows that I will always remember it. Almost all people have memories and most of the memories they do have are of them in their childhood. I'm also sad that I am leaving childhood, because I wont be able to make more memories about really funny stuff. It's okay though because I will always remember my childhood through the rough and nice times I've had in it. One of my favorite things of my childhood is being friends with Daniel, Geb, Davey. G Alan, Harry my family and cousins. These are the people who make me miss my child hood, these are the people who made the best of my child hood and the people who deliberately made my child hood.

                                                Story about Growing Up
I once went crabbing when I was 10 years old and was so excited. Driving to the beach getting ready to go crabbing got me even more excited. When we pulled up to a bait store my uncle said Connor and I could get out of the car and go with him to get some bait, so Connor and I did. As soon as we got into the store Connor and I started exploring the whole place from top to bottom. We found a big gray bucket but it was to big for Connor and I to look in so we asked my uncle John what was in it, and he said eels for crabbing. Connor and Proxy-Connection: keep-alive
Cache-Control: max-age=0

said cool but we still wanted to look in the bucket to see the eels so I jumped on the bucket and accidentally fell in it with about 35 ells. I was scared out of my life, I didn’t know what to do, so I jumped right out of that bucket and ran to my uncle John. The funny thing is that my uncle wasn’t surprised that I came to him drenched in water. The irony of this story is that we ended up buying one of these eels that I fell in a bucket with.

Small Paragraph of what I thinking growing up does for you
Growing up has it's up's and downs. I can only remember two things about growing up which was having fun and getting in trouble. I see growing up as a lesson. I believe growing up is basically teaching you a lesson about right and wrong. When people grow up they make mistakes and get taught the wrong out of those mistakes, which is how I see growing up is the first grade of life. Growing up teaches you manners and respect for one and other. Growing up isn't just teaching you how to behave but it's also teaching how to live.
                                                    Poem about Growing Up
Part.1
Growing up is for everyone
It might not be the best but at some points it will be fun
No matter who you are or what you do growing up will be in the beginning for you
It will teach you what to do
It goes by slowly teaching you how to behave
Your memories of it will come to you right before you go into your grave
I know sometimes it can be rough
And sometimes you just can't get enough
Part.2
Sometimes it's empty like a cup
Sometimes it's full like a bowl
Growing up is sometimes very colorful
And sometimes it can be very dull
From the time when you were in that stroller
To the time when you're now getting older
You brain is getting more smart
It will have more precision and accuracy than a sharp dart
When growing up has finally comes to and end
You will be losing a really good friend

Free Writing

Kolton did not write this. Im looking forward to grandparents day. I like grandparents day because of all of the fun activities we do in class with each other. This year I think it's going to be different. I think were going to have the same sort of classes just shorter with not many fun activities in it like last year. Talking to all of our teachers so far about Grand Parents Day they've all said they are just going to have the same thing as regular class, except for math, Ms. Rice is letting us play a math game with cards. I guess it's still going to be fun considering the fact that we have a half day, even though it's not really half it's only 1 or 2 less hours. I just finished talking about what I think about Grand Parents Day for Free writing goodbye.

Essay 13

Do you believe in true love. Well I believe it happens only once in a lifetime to certain people. I believe to find your true love you will both have to have different personalities, just like Cinderella and Prince Charming. They both show different personalities which in my eyes is the reason they are in so much love.

I imagine myself having love that builds up and up. I see the future having a basic relationship that keeps getting bigger and stronger. I believe that my love would not be love at first sight but a relationship that grows. I see myself with somebody that is easy to agree with so it's not hard to make our relationship last longer. I believe that I would like my partner to share the same personalities so its easier to get along with her more than a usual relationship. I think our whole relationship would depend on how much reflection we give each other showing love through our personality. To me I see that our whole relationship would be based on how much we show for each other and give. I strongly believe having a healthy relationship is the hammer to building love.

When I think of true love I think of the media. The movie Cinderella gives me the hint of true love. Cinderella and her prince charming find true love at first sight. The moment Prince Charming saw Cinderella, he immediately thought he had to have her which was a big love part of the moment. Cinderellas and Prince Charming's love is so powerful that not even an evil godmother and two stepsisters can brake it. There love for each other is too strong to brake it.  No matter what happens nobody can cut through there love, that is so strong it's almost magical. There love will go on and on and that is the reason I think there my thought of true love.

After talking about true love I noticed how it was hard to write this essay because I've never had real love. That didn't stop me though while I was writing this I actually found real love from my neighbors Erin and Drew. Erin and Drew are always laughing with each other and never seem to be in a negative mood by themselves. And Andrew and Drew never argue and they just show so mush love through eachother.

Sonnet

Friends are the best to me I see
They make me always start to laugh
There’s no friends that can be s good as mine can be
The things that make me laugh is Alan’s imaginary staff
My friends might even watch some glee
Daniel might even help me build a math graph
My friends are the best and now I see

Essay 11

                                         Essay 11
                             Teenager struggles in 2011
                           An Essay By: Kolton Sebastian
                               Teacher: Mr. Salsich
                             Wednesday, March 2011
TS Teenagers all over the world are getting more homework every year. It's true most kids spend hours doing homework. We teenagers think its too much for us to do, which it is. The homework is also getting a lot harder over the past couple years.
TS Teenagers in 2011 are struggling getting all of their homework done. SD The teenagers are getting a humungous amount homework in school all over the world. CM Since they’re getting too much homework, they have to stay up late to get it all finished. CM Teenagers don’t like getting lots of homework because they have to stay up to late to finish it all. SD The homework for teenagers has gotten a lot harder for them. CM Over the years teenagers are starting to struggle with all of their homework because it’s too hard and too much. CM A lot of the teenagers seem to get stressed because of the homework. SD Since the kids are getting too much homework they don’t have any time for fun. CM Most teenagers get home from school and get right to work but when they’re done they have no time for watching TV or playing a board game. CM Even over the weekend they have to do lots of homework, which makes their weekend almost have no point. CS Most of the teenagers in 2011 are being strangled by having so much homework.
TS Being a teenager is tough because of the disability (ADHD) I have- that makes me hyper and makes it hard for me to pay attention - but also makes me say stuff that i wouldn't say if I did take my medicine. SD I am always feel ebullient about getting into trouble which I hate feeling like. CM I seem to get in trouble a lot in my teen years, but its difficult for me to stay out of trouble. CM I don’t try to be bad but I just can't handle it my (ADHD) puts me in the place to be bad. SD Having ADHD is hard for me to deal with. CM In class I seem to get distracted very easier than other people because of my disability, which causes me to have to really try to pay attention. CM It’s as if I can’t even control myself from laughter or saying something abnotcious. CS Having ADHD in my teenage years is a challenge for me but I get through it.
Do you think teenagers should have this much homework, well I don't? It's true I spend up to hours doing homework almost every night, which I think isn't fair. It doesn't matter worth arguing over though because we all have to do it. It's not always you thats ringing you down, sometimes it could be something in you that brings you down (ADHD).

                     1. I am going to try to work on making different themes when I write rather than 1.
                     2. My most strong point I see in this essay is how truthfully I spoke about what ADHD makes me do.
                     3. My week point that I see is that some of my sentences repeat themselves with the next sentence.
                     4. I would give myself a B-, because I spent a good amount of time on this essay and I also have all of the assignment I need for this essay.

Assessment Essay

       Deninson Nature Center and Me:
                                An essay By: Kolton Sebastian
                                        8th Grade English
                                        2/25/11
                                Pine point school
                              Teacher Mr. Salsich
TS Have you ever wanted to volunteer at a nature center? Well you should because it’s a blast. The past two months I’ve been working at the Deninson Pequot Sepos Nature Center which is a visitor attraction full of wildlife.
TS The first time I saw the Deninson Pequot Sepos Nature Center (hereafter referred to as D.P.N.C) I was very excited. SD There was very nice people that welcomed me right away when I first walked in the doors. CM The Deninson Pequot Nature Center has a good environment with caring people. CM Everybody appreciated me there right from the start. SD The Deninson Pequot Nature Center feels like home to me because I know everybody likes me there. CM The environment there is very warm and cozy. CM Whenever I work there it seemed that I never get interrupted from my work which is very nice and peaceful. SD The animals there are very kind and cuddly. CM Most of the animals are cute and cuddly except for the snakes, I was frightened of the snakes. CM I asked Karla the front desk lady if the animals were ever aggressive and she said no, which made me more comfortable around them. CS Everything was very welcoming at the Deninson Pequot Nature Center right from the start.

TS There were some difficulties I encountered at the Deninson Pequot Nature center but, they weren’t that bad. SD One of the troubles I encountered there was filling up the bird feeders. CM I had to fill the bird feeders up every 3 days which was every time I went, and when I did fill them up I got dirty because of having to touch the suit. CM Since the bird feeders were so high I would have to place my hands in awkward positions to fill the up which made my hands have blisters and cramps. SD One of the other difficulties I had was being terrified from the snakes. CM Every time I went to go down and help feed some of the animals, the snakes were always right behind me in their cages which I didn’t like at all. CM I was always thinking if the snakes could get out of their cages which concerned me a lot when I was working. SD My last difficulty I faced there was getting distracted from the animals. CM Every time I was doing something I would look around at the animals which distracted me from doing my work.  CM Since I was getting distracted from the animals my I didn’t get that much done as I should have, which made my visits longer than they should have been. CS Even though my difficulties were hard to around of I still managed to get all the work done I was supposed to do.
TS There are many of great things I’ve done at the Deninson Pequot Nature Center from playing with kids to feeding the animals all the way to helping little kids that are injured.  SD I played a game I made up with two kids named Emily and Fisher, the game was called Big Foot, Little Foot which is the same thing as hide and go seek. CM I played Big Foot, Little Foot with Fisher and Emily for about 30 minutes and they loved it. CM They kept on hugging me and asking me to play again, which we did. SD Another good thing I did was that I fed the owls and hawks that get fed every two weeks. CM The birds needed more mice to eat so Harrison and I went out with our guide to go and feed them. CM The birds were very excited to see me and Harrison because they knew we were coming to feed them so they started to fly around in their cages, which was made out of steel metal and wood. SD My favorite and one of the biggest best things I did was hosting a family and helping their injured daughter. CM The two kids Zack and Angelica were having plenty of fun until Angelica fell on a nail and started to bleed. I noticed that she was in need of a band-aid so I quickly ran upstairs to go and get her one, as I put neo-sporn on her cut and her mom and dad thanked me for helping her, which made me feel really proud and noticed that I did something really good.
TS My research increased my understanding in many different ways. SD My research increased my knowledge about endangered species which helped me know more about the wild life I was near every day. CM My research also helped me how good the Deninson Pequot Nature Center really is. CM I now understand how many things that the D.N.P.C really goes threw from helping animals to creating a good environment out of little space (trails through the woods). SD After researching I found out how to take care of animals. CM After I found out how to take care of the animals I knew the D.P.N.C was doing a very good job. CM Since I now knew that the Deninson Pequot Nature Center was doing a good job I felt more comfortable being there. SD My research helped me discover what materials you would need to create a nature center. CM After knowing what materials you need, I found out that the D.P.N.C has everything they needed for animal care. CM After finding this out I had full respect towards the Deninson Pequot Nature Center. CS I’m glad that I now know that the Deninson Pequot Nature Center is a really good place for injured animals.
TS Boo Radley in To Kill a Mockingbird, is just as lonely as Matt the owl that has cataracts disease at the Deninson Pequot Nature Center. SD The blind owl Matt is lonely at the D.P.N.C, just like Boo Radley is in To kill a Mockingbird. CM The blind Barn owl named Matt is always in a small cage by himself almost all day. CM Boo Radley is also lonely stuck in his house all day by himself. SD Boo Radley of Maycomb and matt the owl in Mystic never really get the chance to get out and have fun. CM Boo Radley never wants to come out of his house, even though he can come out. CM Matt at the D.P.N.C doesn’t have a choice, whether he wants to come out or stay in his cage, because his cage is locked. SD Matt’s in the middle of the hallway as you first walk in the doors at the D.P.N.C and, he can NEVER go out of his cage by himself. CM matt is a Barn owl who has cataracts which, is a disease that makes your vision go blank, so this disease never gives him the chance to interact or see other people/animals. CM I feel like Matt is a very lonely bird that gets paid little attention and, never gets to have fun. CS Boo Radley and the blind owl Matt have almost the same themes of loneliness.
TS Since I’ve been working at my service site I’ve gained more self confidence, and respect. SD Since working with children I’ve learned that you have to stay calm which is a very good way to deal with bad situations. CM There was a little girl named Jenny who was scared of the dark in the theater room so she wouldn’t go in. CM Halfway through the clip she now wanted to go in the theater, but she wanted me to hold her hand which I did, so it made her more comfortable knowing somebody was there with her. SD Working at my site has taught me that little kids can be stressful but you have to deal with them in a kind and gentle way.  I used to get annoyed when a little kid would asked me a question. CM Now if a little boy or girl said something that was incorrect, I would simply calmly tell them they’re wrong and tell them the correct answer. SD I’ve got a lot of respect toward children since I’ve been at my field. CM For the kids who didn’t know what they were looking at, I would respectfully tell them. CM Now I know that little kids make mistakes, but that doesn’t mean they’re not as good and as smart as me. CS these two things have really made me a better person.
TS The main thing that my experiment at the D.P.N.C changed me about, is that I now care for animals way more than I did when I first came there. SD when I first came to the D.P.N.C I really didn’t care about any of the animals as much as I thought I would. CM When I first visited the D.P.N.C I barely took a look at the animals. CM At first it was almost like nothing took my attention walking into the D.P.N.C’s hallway. SD Now that’s all changed. CM Every time I walk down the hallway now, anything catches my attention. CM Now instead of not wanting to be near the animals, I can’t stop wanting to be near and help them. SD Unfortunately that all changed again. CM Feeding the animals got boring to me after doing it over and over again. CM the weird thing is that even though I love the animals and being with them I can’t stand getting dirty because I have to feed them. These two things have made me a better person because, I now realize that things are going to change and you’re just going to have to deal with them.
The past two months have taught me many things, like you’ve seen in my essay. this essay reminds me of Atticus, a hard worker, and my essay is precise just like Atticus’s work.
